Two Saturdays with Javier Escovedo and the City Lights

What? Did you think I was kidding when I said we'd be ramping it up with Javier Escovedo and the City Lights this fall? Well that'll teach ya.

This coming Saturday, September 27, we will be playing at the Adams Avenue Street Fair. It's only the second time I've ever played there (I was there with Lady Dottie and the Diamonds last year), so I'm excited. Growing up in Kensington, I used to love going to this awesome event, and actually got to see pretty exciting people perform each year. Mick Taylor especially sticks out in my memory, since it was thrilling to see a world-renowned musician like that in such a neighborhood setting.  This all-ages event is highly recommended, and I'm sure I will see plenty of familiar faces this Saturday. We will be playing from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on the Casbah Rock Stage (33rd Street).

Then, exactly one week later we will be doing another all-ages event at M-Theory's brand-spankin' new Del Mar location at high noon. I love this record shop, so it's going to be extra special to not only buy music here, but also play it!

Thanks for staying tuned in!
