Tomorrow night (Thursday, September 11) I have the pleasure of laying down some serious power pop/rock 'n roll drums for Javier Escovedo and the City Lights at Maryjane's Undergound (part of the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, on 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp District).
I've been told that people who RSVP will get free 619 Vodka drinks from 8-9 p.m, if that persuades any music fans out there on the fence about going out on a school night.
We go on at 10:00 p.m., and the Fink Bombs will be warming things up in style at 9:00 p.m. I had the pleasure of catching them earlier this summer when I was playing at the In-Ko-Pah Festival at the Desert Tower in Jacumba, and caught some great footage of them.
Lastly, I would like to add that the date of tomorrow's show doesn't escape me, and while I am enjoying the freedom of sharing awesome music, friendship, and fun with the people around me, I will also be reflecting on the the brave women and men who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in order for us to continue our way of life.
Love live rock 'n roll, and thanks for staying tuned in!
