A Whole Lotta San Diego Music

This is shaping up to be a great week of San Diego music! On Monday I recorded drums to two new Two Wolves tracks, "FTW" and "Old Fashioned Future." Two Wolves features Stephen Rey on vocals and guitar, and Dean Reis records the project at the "Wolf Den" in South Park.

On Tuesday, I got a great thrill by playing with Javier Escovedo.  It's so fun -and such a privilege-to be able to play music you're already a fan of! I've enjoyed Javier's music for quite a while now, and had a blast playing music off his new "City Lights" cd (Folc Records). Hopefully I'll get many more opportunities to play Javier's awesome music!

Yesterday evening I filled the drum spot for Westside Inflection at the Riviera Supper Club in La Mesa. Westside Inflection features the vocals and trumpet playing of Jason Hanna. Always great playing the classic music made famous by people like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, and others.

Friday evening I'll be playing at the U.S. Grant Hotel (downtown San Diego) with Archie Thompson.  Archie is a mainstay in the San Diego music scene, and it's always fun playing music...it might be anything from Ray Charles to Hall & Oates, so I'll be alert and ready!
